In most cases, FEW Scholarship is the one thing that brings hope of becoming a graduate and confidence to pursue a dream. The more we can help, the better chance our scholars will have at leading successful careers.
The students we fund are women, usually from diverse backgrounds between the ages of 18-40, who have undergone traumatic life experiences, financial hardships and other circumstances beyond their control. From single moms to women who have put their career plans on hold because of family emergencies, our goal is to help them succeed in their educational goals.
Application criteria is sent to representatives at each of our partner colleges early in the year. They in tern, publicize, select and submit their top 5 candidates by the end of May.
Finally, the FEW Scholarship committee reviews applications and determines the scholarship recipients. Not an easy task considering the high caliber of applicants.
