Central Florida’s nonprofit sector plays a vital role in addressing our community’s most pressing needs while navigating an increasingly complex and rapidly changing environment. This engaging panel discussion will bring together respected leaders with broad and diverse perspectives on the nonprofit sector, including Graciela Noriega Jacoby, Chief Operating Officer of Heart of Florida United Way; Carol Wick, CEO of Sharity, Inc.; and Min Sun Kim, Executive Director of the Edyth Bush Institute for Philanthropy & Nonprofit Leadership.
Drawing from their extensive knowledge of Central Florida’s nonprofit landscape, panelists will explore emerging trends, current challenges, and the evolving role of nonprofit organizations in driving meaningful community impact. Meet Panelist Graciela Noriega Jacoby
Chief Operating Officer
Heart of Florida United Way
Graciela Noriega Jacoby is the Chief Operating Officer of Heart of Florida United Way (HFUW), where she leads organizational strategy, operations, and cross-functional initiatives serving Orange, Osceola, and Seminole counties. She oversees human resources, marketing and communications, community impact, volunteer engagement, advocacy, and organizational planning to ensure measurable outcomes that strengthen Central Florida.
HFUW helps individuals and families meet basic needs, achieve financial stability, and reach education goals, creating pathways to long-term resilience and opportunity. Graciela collaborates with donors, businesses, nonprofit organizations, and government leaders to build sustainable community solutions.
Previously, she served as Chief of Staff to Orange County Mayor Teresa Jacobs and as an adjunct professor at Valencia College. She earned both her bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Master of Public Administration from the University of Central Florida. Her honors include the Orlando Business Journal Women Who Mean Business Award, the Don Quijote Excellence Award, and the National All-AmeriCorps Award.

Carol Wick is a nationally recognized nonprofit strategist, philanthropy expert, and founder and president of Sharity, Inc., an international consulting firm that helps mission-driven organizations build the strategy, systems, and funding needed to scale their impact. Over more than 35 years in nonprofit leadership and consulting, she has helped raise and steward over $350 million and has advised organizations across the United States and in 37 countries.
Carol is the author of Nonprofit, Inc.: Scaling with Purpose and the creator of the Sharity Five Factors™ framework, which helps organizations strengthen their plans, outcomes, budgets, teams, and donor strategies. Her work spans fundraising, capital campaigns, organizational growth, board development, and sustainable revenue generation. A former nonprofit CEO and executive director, Carol brings a practical, candid perspective to philanthropy—grounded in what motivates donors, what creates trust, and what organizations must do to move beyond transactional fundraising toward long-term investment and partnership.

Min Sun Kim, MBA, serves as Executive Director of the Edyth Bush Institute for Philanthropy & Nonprofit Leadership at Rollins College, where she leads initiatives that strengthen nonprofit and philanthropic organizations through education, innovation, and collaboration. Since becoming Executive Director, she has secured over $6.5 million in funding, including the largest contract in EBI’s history, while expanding services to more nonprofit organizations.
A respected facilitator and sector leader, Kim convenes funders, nonprofit executives, and community stakeholders to advance collective impact. She is an Orlando Business Journal 40 Under 40 honoree, a graduate of Rollins College and UCF.
